Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health & Rights (APCRSHR) is a regional conference of Asia Pacific countries to implement ICPD Programme of Action and address regional population and reproductive health issues. It is sponsored biennially in turn by population and reproductive health related agencies of Asia Pacific countries from 2001, and is aimed to provide a platform for policy makers, program manager and service providers in the Asia Pacific region to exchange experiences and discuss related strategies in population and reproductive health.

The 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health & Rights was held in Manila, Philippines on 15-19 February 2001. Attended by multiple participants from government departments and NGOs of the regions, this conference advocated promoting healthy sexual behavior education at individual and community levels in Asia Pacific region.

The 2nd Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health & Rights was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 6-11 October 2003, focusing on five themes: sexual & reproductive health development, sexual value & sexual behavior, sexual & reproductive health and rights, gender equality, and quality of care. Exchanges and discussions were carried out on the present status, problems, challenges and future strategies of these aspects.

The 3rd Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health & Rights was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 17-21 November 2005. Stressing the importance of sexual and reproductive health, the conference reminded people of paying more attention to this issue and advocated reducing the infant mortality rate, improving maternal health and sex ratio at birth, fighting against AIDS, alleviating poverty, and further improving sexual and reproductive health as an important issue of development.

The 4th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health & Rights was held in Hyderabad, India on 29-31 October 2007. The theme of this conference was “Exploring New Frontiers in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights”, with a focus on further promoting the strategic and academic development of sexual and reproductive health.
